Zpizza Moves to New Location in West Hollywood

Zpizza West Hollywood has moved to a new location in the LGBT Rainbow District. The beloved artisan-inspired pizza vacated its former home at 8869 Santa Monica Boulevard this past Wednesday, September 13, 2023, after 24 years at that location. They had a soft opening today in their new home at 8943 Santa Monica Boulevard. They are currently offering individual slices and are hoping to serve a regular menu as soon as this coming Monday when they officially open for business.

“We’re trying to have as smooth a transition as possible,” owner David Fanarof told WEHO TIMES. “We sort of want to take it slow. It’s a whole new oven and a beautiful brand-new space. People are coming here and they are excited by our move. This place is an institution. We’ve been in West Hollywood for 24 years.”

The new and improved Z-Pizza has moved to the former home of Marinate restaurant (prior to that, it was the short-lived Cock Dog hotdog eatery). It will continue to offer a patio area and some indoor dining at its new home. Their hours of operations will as at the former location which is from 11am – 2am. They hope to apply for later afterhours in the future.

Those who love wine with a slice of pizza will be happy to know that the new Zpizza now has a liquor license, so they will be serving wine with your meal.

The old location adds another vacancy to the northeast corner of Santa Monica Boulevard where two business owned by Monte Overstreet sit empty. The former home of 8oz Poke, shuttered in October 2020 and the MISTR building which offers free online access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), the once-a-day pill that is 99% effective at preventing HIV, has been empty for over a year and currently serves as a giant billboard for the online pharmacy resource.

They’ll be waiting for you. I hear Grindr works really well throughout the restaurant. No shortage of sausage there for you.
