A woman was struck by car early Sunday morning at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Genesee Avenue in West Hollywood. According to photos and video footage submitted to WEHO TIMES by a witness who said he wished to remain anonymous, the driver in a black Tesla was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested on the scene.
“The woman was crossing the street at 1:30 a.m. here in West Hollywood, when a drunk driver ran into her and she immediately stopped breathing,” said the witness. “CPR needed to be performed on her, and she was brought back… she was then transported to Cedar Sinai Hospital in critical condition.”
A photo shows an unconscious woman laying on the ground while she is surrounded by first responders (the witness asked that we blur her in the image). Two other photos show the damage from the impact on the front windshield of the black Tesla.
According to the source, the driver refused a breathalyzer test, but he did perform certain field sobriety tests, which he failed. The driver was then handcuffed and escorted inside a Sheriff’s vehicle.
“The driver definitely didn’t attempt to help,” added the source. “He was walking around and at one point disappeared. Multiple people were looking for him and yelling ‘where is the driver’ and then he appeared and just stood there watching, and then once paramedics and sheriffs were on scene, he casually walked back to his car and just leaned up against the wall on his phone.”
