White Party Foundation to Continue Circuit Parties in Honor of Jeffrey Sanker

The party will go on. The White Party Foundation has vowed to continue partying in honor of founder Jeffrey Sanker, who passed away last Friday, May 28, 2021 from liver cancer.

A statement on the home page of Jeffrey Sanker Presents at jeffreysanker.com, the main website for White Party events, says it will continue to honor Sanker’s legacy. White Party will continue in Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta.

News of Sanker’s death spread all over social media Friday night as White Party Pride parties in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico were set to begin. Many members of the community remembered the man fondly, paying tribute to him for his contribution to the LGBT circuit party scene. Others condemned the man, accusing him of providing party spaces for drug use, unsafe sex and most recently, for hosting spreader events in Puerto Vallarta during during COVID.

White Party Palm Springs 2020 has been rescheduled for the fourth time to take place during Halloween of this year on the weekend of October 29th to November 1st.

The statement by the White Party Foundation reads as follows:

“DEAR WHITE PARTY FAMILY,

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of beloved White Party founder Jeffrey Sanker. For more than four decades, Jeffrey’s zest for life and love of celebration drove him to create a safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community to come together and celebrate our unique individuality and collective magic.

He was named the Godfather of Parties, and to honor his unforgettable life, the White Party legacy will continue in Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta through the Jeffrey Sanker White Party Foundation. We will continue to celebrate the extraordinary life of Jeffrey Sanker and the legacy he built and shared with us all, through our future White Party events.

Thank you, Jeffrey, for all you gave to us. We love you, miss you and will continue to honor your legacy.
