The City of West Hollywood, its Women’s Advisory Board and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce hosted the 26th Annual West Hollywood Women In Leadership Awards and Reception on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Andaz Hotel. The event honored Academy Award winning actress, activist, and entrepreneur Patricia Arquette and other outstanding women in the community.
In attendance were West Hollywood Mayor Sepi Shyne, Mayor Pro Tem John Erickson, and council members Lauren Meister, and Chelsea Byers. Former council member and mayor Abbe Land was also spotted at the event.




The list of honorees include:
- Gulla Jónsdóttir – Principal, Atelier Gulla Jónsdóttir
- Celina Alvarez – Executive Director, Housing Works
- Catherine Gray – Producer/Author/Podcast Host and Founder, SheAngelInvestors.com
- Torie Osborn – Founder, Making Waves for Democracy

The Special Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Patricia Arquette who spoke about women’s rights and shared personal stories about her mother and why she became an activist for women’s rights.

Event donations benefited the City of West Hollywood Youth Scholarship Program.
The City of West Hollywood Women’s Advisory Board (WAB) advises the City Council on policies and other issues pertaining to women, advocates on behalf of women’s rights, and provides programming addressing women’s concerns. The month of March is nationally recognized as Women’s History Month—a time to commemorate and reflect upon the many accomplishments of women and the continuing struggle for equal rights.
The West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, action oriented, non-profit association of business and professional leaders working together to promote the commercial and economic growth of West Hollywood and to foster civic improvements that benefit the general welfare of those who live, work and visit here.
