A breakdown by district is as follows: 55% on the west side (103 incidents), 20% in the city center (34 incidents), and 25% on the east side (47 incidents).

Sergeant Jason Duron reported that Part One crimes are mainly driven by thefts. “We’ve had quite a few pickpocketings, mail thefts, things of that nature that continue to drive our numbers,” he said. “We had 31 pickpocketing incidents in the month of May occurring in our rainbow district.”

Regarding WeHo Pride weekend, there were a total of 10 arrests. Three of those incidents were for pickpocketing. Undercover detectives were present and caught pickpockets during the act at the WeHo Pride Street Fair.

Regarding the incident on Larrabee Street that was first reported in WEHO TIMES, on Monday, June 3, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a robbery took place at Larrabee Street and Cynthia Street. Individuals exited a vehicle and robbed three people with a firearm. Station detectives are actively working on this case and following up on leads. At this time, there have been no arrest made.

Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.
