Farm Cup Coffee received the red ribbon treatment this past week on Thursday, May 19, 2021. Mayor Lindsey Horvath joined the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in welcoming the new business to the city with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Farm Cup Coffee, located at 7748 Santa Monica Blvd., is a yellow Vintage 1964 Citroën Van inside a storefront. The coffee truck specializes in organic single-origin coffee directly sourced from the farm owners. The coffee is roasted at source when possible to ensure the farmers receive the highest profit for their craft. When roasting at source is not possible, they partner with local roasters who align with their values in ethical sourcing.

Emerson Haro who owns Farm Cup Coffee with his boyfriend Tony Yuan tells WEHO TIMES that the van, which is actually a milk truck, was imported directly from England. “I didn’t even know how to drive a stick shift,” he said. “I had to learn in Los Angeles traffic. We started driving around all over Los Angeles and sort of got a following. People were really liking our product. We put a lot of effort into what was working and then the pandemic happened.”

Haro says they set up shop in Abbot Kinney. The had their heart set on moving to West Hollywood the city does not allow food trucks, so they came up with the idea of putting the food truck inside the the building that is now their place of business. “We found a way,” he said. “We are excited to be here and looking forward to meeting everybody.”
Thursday, May 19, 2021 was the coffee shop’s soft launch. The official opening day will be May 29th.
