For those who missed this year’s WeHo Pride Parade, or those who want to relive some of the highlights from this past weekend, the KTLA broadcast of the 2nd annual WeHo Pride Parade is currently streaming on the City’s WeHoTV channel on Youtube.

KTLA partnered with WeHo Pride for the live broadcast, which kicked off on on Sunday, June 4.

In this year’s parade which ran along Santa Monica Boulevard, from Crescent Heights Boulevard to Roberson Boulevard the City of West Hollywood and WeHo Pride producer JJLA honored the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise, Laith Ashley, Niecy Nash-Betts & Jessica Betts, and Melissa McCarthy as Icons of this Year’s WeHo Pride Parade. Icons are West Hollywood’s version of a Grand Marshal honoring trailblazers and allies for their work in bringing the LGBTQ community and social justice issues to the forefront, as well as expanding queer representation in mainstream pop culture.

Though the WeHo Pride weekend may be behind us, the WeHo Pride celebration continues in the City of West Hollywood with the WeHo Pride Arts Festival, which is offering 40 days of programing from Harvey Milk Day on Monday, May 22, 2023 to Friday, June 30, 2023 at various locations throughout the City of West Hollywood. First launched in 2008, and formerly known arts program One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival, this year’s Arts Festival will feature a stellar range of LGBTQ+ dance, visual art, performance, literary arts, craft, and more. Learn more about Arts Festival events by visiting www.wehopride.com/artsfestival (programming details are being posted as they become available). This year’s Arts Festival launched with a celebration of Harvey Milk Day which took place on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. The event featured the 1st Annual José Sarria Amateur Drag Pageant, a voter registration table, and an interactive photo opportunity at the West Hollywood Aquatics and Recreation Center (ARC).
