    WeHo Partners with LA County for Drive-Thru Food Giveaway on Saturday, March 6th

    The City of West Hollywood partnered with Los Angeles Supervisor Sheila Kuehl’s office and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for a free drive-thru food giveaway on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 9:30am-12:30pm. The Last day for internet registration is March 5, 2021, at 11:59pm.

    The number of food boxes boxes are limited at approximately 350 for distribution. Those that wish to participate in the free food giveaway will need to register online for one of the food boxes. The boxes are from the LA Regional Food Bank will include non-perishable pantry items.

    Council member John Erickson is spreading the word. He stated via an email that West Hollywood residents are encouraged to sign up before there is a larger informational push from the Los Angeles County, which will include people from outside of West Hollywood area.

    The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has mobilized resources to help people who are in need of food assistance throughout Los Angeles County. The City of West Hollywood understands that many of their community members and neighbors are experiencing food insecurity for the first time due to COVID-19. To address this extraordinary issue, the City of West Hollywood has agreed to be a drive-thru site for the Los County and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank COVID-19 relief distribution site . The distribution site will be the eastside of West Hollywood Park along San Vicente Blvd at 647 North San Vicente Boulevard. All drive-thru participants will have to RSVP at weho.org/recreation. Limited spots available.

    Upon registration, an with email with further directions will be sent. A dashboard pass will be provided to registered participants during event check-in.

    Please Note: In accordance with safety protocols, face coverings along with physical distancing are required during this activity. Patrons must remain in their vehicles during the Drive-Thru event. This is a free event for all ages. For more information please email [email protected]
