WeHo Commissioner and Realtor Anthony Vulin Wins 12K in The Price is Right

West Hollywood Business License Commissioner, and owner of The Collective Realty, Anthony Vulin, was selected to compete in The Price is Right last week, walking away with a $12,000 cash prize.

Vulin, whom many may recognize from seeing his face on their shopping carts at the West Hollywood Pavilions promoting his real estate agency, told WEHO TIMES that he planned a fun culture-building activity for his office last Thursday, April 18. “I thought, let’s get a group of people to go on The Price is Right and watch the taping of the game show, and maybe one of us will get on,” he said. “I was really hoping one of my agents would get picked because some of them have big personalities. We all got matching shirts, and they interviewed all of us, and everybody was just having a lot of fun doing the whole thing.”

Vulin says that toward the very end of the show, all the cameras pointed at his group, so he knew one of them was going to be selected. “They ended up calling my name, which I was totally shocked about,” he said. “I got called down and I guessed the right price right away and got to play a game, which was not easy, and I won $12,000.”

The game he played was called Penny Pincher. They gave him about five different prices of an item, and he had to guess the correct one. “You have five pennies, and you can give a penny to eliminate an answer. And then you kind of move up the chart. So it was kind of complicated. The total prize was $25,000. So I got up to the very last stage of the game. And there were like six items, and all the prices were super close to each other. If I guessed wrong, I would have lost $12,000. So I stayed at $12,000, and I was good to go.”

It was a lucky move. Vulin would have picked $12.19, and the answer was $13.99, so he would have lost the $12,000. The item in question was a bottle of garlic pills to lower blood pressure.

Vulin had a watch party at The Collective with friends and colleagues. Episode 136, where Vulin was a contestant, aired on April 18 at 10 a.m. and is currently streaming on Paramount Plus.

So what’s he going to do with the $12,000, you ask? He said he is putting it into my baby fund. “My husband and I are working with a fertility clinic to have a kid. It’s pretty expensive, so it’ll be a small chunk of getting towards that goal.”

The Collective is locally owned in West Hollywood at 8278 1/2 Santa Monica Blvd. To learn more, visit: https://www.thecollectiverealty.com/
