    WeHo City Joins WeHo Chamber for Virtual State of the City 2021

    The City of West Hollywood has partnered with the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (WHCC) for the State of The City 2021 event in an effort to engage the City’s business leaders and the community at-large in a conversation about new initiatives, economic trends, and innovations in West Hollywood.

    State of The City 2021 will take place virtually on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 5 p.m. State of The City 2021 will examine the theme “Open for Creativity.” Tickets are $40; for more information and to purchase tickets/register for State of The City 2021, visit www.wehochamber.com/stateofthecity.

    More than 300 local business leaders will gather online for the occasion. City of West Hollywood Mayor Lindsey P. Horvath and West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Chair, Nick Rimedio, will provide welcoming remarks. Outgoing West Hollywood City Manager Paul Arevalo will present the State of The City keynote address and introduce incoming City Manager, David Wilson.

    Mott Smith, Co-Founder of Amped Kitchens and Principal at Civic Enterprises will moderate a panel discussion on the Post-Pandemic Plan featuring the City of West Hollywood’s Director of Planning and Development Services, John Keho and Director of Public Works, Jackie Rocco. The panel discussion will focus on the City of West Hollywood’s initiatives to transition its temporary business relief measures into permanent post-pandemic recovery initiatives. During the past 15 months, the City has enacted various emergency executive orders and urgency ordinances to address the significant challenges West Hollywood businesses have had to endure. Since the State of California’s full reopening, West Hollywood businesses have been resilient by quickly pivoting their business models and adapting to technological changes.

    The City of West Hollywood has been taking extensive steps to support local businesses and workers during this unprecedented time. The City of West Hollywood has produced a Toolkit For West Hollywood Businesses affected by COVID-19. A PDF of the kit can be downloaded, along with links to guidance for businesses and workplaces, from the City’s website at www.weho.org/business.
