WeHo City is Holding Special Study Session on Nightlife Safety

The City of West Hollywood is holding a special study session on nightlife safety at Plummer Park Community Center, Rooms 5 & 6, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard, on Monday, April 25, 2022, starting at 6 p.m.

The West Hollywood City Council has convened a Special Study Session consisting of the City Council and representatives from the Public Safety Commission, the Lesbian and Gay Advisory Board, the Transgender Advisory Board, and the Women’s Advisory Board for the purpose of discussing nightlife safety issues in a holistic and cohesive way.

The goal of the Study Session is to hear from representatives of each of these bodies and outline steps to address nightlife safety for possible inclusion in each of the bodies workplans for fiscal year 2023/2024.

City Staff recommends that following discussion and public comment, the City Council will provide direction to staff as needed, regarding a plan to address nightlife safety in West Hollywood.

The structure of the study session is as follows:

  1. Introduction and Overview of Nightlife Safety in West Hollywood
  2. Discussion with the City Council and representatives from the Public Safety Commission, Lesbian & Gay Advisory Board, Transgender Advisory Board,
    and Women’s Advisory Board.
  3. Public Comment
  4. City Council Comments and Direction
  5. ADJOURNMENT: The City Council will adjourn to its next regular meeting, which will be on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at West Hollywood Park Public Meeting Room – Council Chambers.
