In-Person West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Mix & Mingle events were supposed to be back this month for the first time in over a year since the COVID-19 lockdown. However, the WeHo Chamber Mix & Mingle scheduled at the La Peer Hotel for this Wednesday, July 28th has now been cancelled due to the recent rise in COVID-19 infections in LA County.
“Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 infections in LA County, in both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, we are CANCELLING Wednesday’s Mix and Mingle to ensure safety,” reads a post on the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page. “We will be rescheduling this event at a later time. We encourage those that are not vaccinated to to find a location and get the vaccine 💉 to help us slow the spread and protect our businesses.”
The WeHo Chamber Mix & Mingle partnered with She Angels Foundation. According to their mission statement:
“She Angels Foundation is a powerful movement to create big change and improve the critical unmet need for women and girls’ causes to be funded. It’s a vehicle the average citizen can use to make the world a better place. She Angels foundation awards grants ranging from $3-10k to female founded and operated non-profit organizations that provide mentorship, funding, training, and advancement resources to girls and women. We have something very big at stake here. Funding women’s ventures unlocks their potential and valuable perspectives. Having a balanced perspective can create real change and bring a productive impact to our society.”
West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6, non-profit organization that fosters prosperity and champions local business by providing resources and leadership to advance activity through economic development. Traditionally, the Chamber’s signature mixers are held at various nightlife venues. They are one of the most popular events for networking professionals in the City of West Hollywood.
