The West Hollywood business community gathered at La Bohème Brasserie & Bar for the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Mix n Mingle business networking mixer, on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.
La Bohème is an American-Mediterranean restaurant located at 8400 Santa Monica Blvd, in West Hollywood. The restaurant welcomed WeHo Chamber members–current and potential–to the garden patio where guests had an opportunity to taste samplings from their menu.
La Bohème has been operating in West Hollywood since 1991. Kozo Hasegawa, the founder and CEO of Global Dining Inc., ventured to the United States from Japan to establish his first international restaurant, which would then become, La Bohème in West Hollywood. Inspired by a lifetime of adventures abroad, he set forth to create a unique dining experience at what is now considered one of the most romantic scenes in the greater Los Angeles area. The restaurant is known for its garden patio, fireplace and French chandeliers that hover from high ceilings. Global-Dining Inc manages various types of restaurants including Italian, Mexican, South-Eastern Asian and Japanese food restaurants.
Project Angel Food, the nonprofit organization founded by Marianne Williamson, which provides free meals for people too sick to shop and cook for themselves, gave away baked goods at the mixer. Jason Frazier, the Major Gifts Officer at Project Angel Food, gave away a pumpkin pie, apple crumble pie, and a skinny apple pie. He also distributed free cookies to new chamber members. The cookies comes from their trio of ginger snaps, iced lemon and chocolate chip.
The West Hollywood Chamber hosts their Mix n Mingle networking mixers once a month. They are a great way to make connections and exchange business cards, which can draw over 80 attendees. The mixers are held at different Chamber member businesses, which include many top hotels and restaurants in the area. Guests enjoy good food, drinks, raffles for prizes and mingling with fellow businesses, each host adds a unique touch to make the event memorable. Past mixers include Kitchen 24, The Pleasure Chest, Shake Shack and Le Parc Suite Hotel.
With the exception of some holiday months, Networking Mixers are held on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at various Member locations. (Cost for Members: Free Non-Members: $20)
