Four registration and election information pop-ups are coming to West Hollywood in a continued effort to increase voter participation for this coming general Municipal Election on March 5, in which voters in the City of West Hollywood will elect candidates to fill three city council seats and vote on two ballot measures. The pop-ups will be held at Plummer Park during the Farmer’s Market, at the West Hollywood Library, and at West Hollywood City Hall.
The deadline to register to vote for the General Municipal Election is Tuesday, February 19, 2019; the election will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Voter Registration and Election Information Pop-Ups will take place on:
Monday, February 11, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Helen Albert Farmer’s Market, located in the Vista Lot on the north end of Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard;
Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard;
Monday, February 25, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Helen Albert Farmer’s Market, located in the Vista Lot on the north end of Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard; and
Monday, March 4, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Hollywood City Hall, located at 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard.
In addition to registering voters, City of West Hollywood staff members from the City Clerk’s Division will provide voter education and informational materials from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s office.
Vote By Mail (VBM) voters can easily and securely drop off their General Municipal Election VBM ballots at the West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard, through Monday, March 4, 2019, during regular library hours. The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder has implemented VBM Drop-Off Program locations in order to provide voters with easy, accessible, convenient, and secure options to drop off their ballots.
Voter registration forms may be obtained at West Hollywood City Hall during regular hours. The City’s elections page, www.weho.org/elections, provides detailed election information and links to the California Secretary of State’s Voter Registration page, the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s website, and links to find specific information about how to apply to vote by mail, a polling place locator, and sample ballots.
