A new vegan-friendly, Mexican Restaurant, 5 ELEMENTOS, (“Cinco Elementos”), will be opening on November 14 in the space behind Five Guys Burgers, across from the popular Gym Bar on Santa Monica Blvd.
For those who consider Mexican food as heavy and full of carbs, 5 Elementos wants to change the way you think. This new eatery’s focus is highlighting vegan-friendly, organic Mexican cuisine.
5 Elementos hopes to accommodate diners with dietary restrictions, vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers — pretty typical for West Hollywood.
With its Modern Aztec theme and integration of the Earth elements into its decor, 5 ELEMENTOS conveys the idea that we are all one, and how everything we consume is taken from the Earth.
Promising a first-rate modern take on authentic Mexican cuisine, 5 Elementos offers a default plant-based menu, which gives the customer the choice to add their selection of meat-based or non-animal protein to any dish. Made with organic, non-GMO ingredients. So, you can keep it vegan or add a choice of protein, like carne asada, chicken or tofu.
Order at the counter and choose your base for a taco, like the savory vista taco with lime, jalapeño, avocado, cilantro, and salsa or the spicy chipotle taco with lime slaw and chipotle vegan crema. Tacos can be lettuce wrapped or with homemade, Gluten-Free tortillas.
Other menu selections include burritos with fuego salsa or the chickpea bowl with quinoa, kale, cauliflower, sweet potato, mango bits, and avocado.
