Expect delays. Donald Trump is visiting the city of Beverly Hills and people in the Greater Los Angeles Area are responding with a massive anti-Trump protest.
Trump is not Welcome in Los Angeles for reasons that should come as no surprise to his administration. The Trump Out of L.A. Protest is being organized for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 13 from 5pm to 11:59pm at the Beverly Gardens Park located at 9439 Santa Monica Blvd. BH, CA 90210. Beverly Gardens is a 1.9 mile linear park that goes from “fountain to fountain” – starting at Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevard and ends at Dohney and Santa Monica Boulevard.
The event on Facebook, hosted by Tierra y Libertad – Union del Barrio Los Angeles (UdB), is calling on all organizations who stand against fascism, imperialism, capitalism, racism, transphobia, islamophobia, and all forms of hatred to join this action.
According to UdB, this will be the only protest against Trump in Los Angeles during his Beverly Hills visit because several organizations have joined forces for this action. Union del Barrio, the LA County Federation of Labor, Refuse Fascism Los Angeles, West Valley Resistance Preach to Impeach and other organizations and Facebook community pages are working together to hopefully draw a large crowd.
Unión del Barrio is an independent political organization operating with a volunteer membership base and entirely self-financed through membership dues, community contributions, and local fundraising. The organization is dedicated to the struggle of “la raza” living within the current borders of the United States. It has been fighting against police and immigration violence since 1981.
