The true highlight of the night was Cher’s surprise appearance. She delighted the crowd when she stepped up to a mic and sang a snippet of her hit song “Song for the Lonely.” She also shared a story about when she was first exposed to gay men at nine years old. “I walked into my house, and there were these two guys there, and they started talking to my mom and my mom’s best friend. I remember thinking, ‘Where have they been hiding these guys?’ I’m nine, but I thought, ‘Wait a minute, who are these guys, and why aren’t the other guys as fun as these guys?’ It was love at first sight.”

I looked at the photo layout and see John Damico enjoying himself far away from the West Hollywood council chambers. He looks happy and I bet he doesn’t miss city government at all.I imagine he got an invite to the Abbey party with no trouble at all.

Funny, I didn’t see Sepi Shyne, another councilperson who is following in Damico’s footsteps.Just like Damico in his last days,Shyne is looking tired. She will look refreshed when she leaves office.

Much luck to Mr. Schukraft in his new venture.

Where does he get his money really? HIs obsession w/looks and money, his owning a foofy dog, it is all very suspicious. People who treat dogs like people treat people like dogs. Abbey employees look out!

Stellar guest list. Tristan delivered. If only we knew the back dealings to make something like this happen. It’s also interesting to see who gets invited to these things.
