Wyland Gomes:
Wyland Thomas Gomes, born on August 26, 2009, is the central figure of Christy’s book. He was a beacon of light, loved video games, spending time with friends and family, and had limitless potential. Tragically, on March 2, 2020, Wyland’s life was senselessly taken from him by his father, who should not have been allowed to purchase a gun due to a previous restraining order. Wyland’s death left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. His life is celebrated through stories of laughter, love, and cherished memories. Wyland’s spirit continues to shine through the pages of this heartfelt book. Read more about Wyland and Christy’s story in the Los Angeles Times.
