West Hollywood residents Josh and Ben, the hosts of the YouTube channel called TheBigGoose Adventures, take us a “West Hollywood Gay Bar Halloween Decorations Tour” along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood’s LGBT Rainbow District.
Josh says Halloween is their favorite time to be residents in West Hollywood, mainly because some bars go all out with their Halloween decorations for Hallows Eve.
Bars that received a special mention are Mother Lode, Micky’s WeHo, Beaches, Rocco’s, The Chapel, and The Abbey which had the most decorations in their patios and inside their bars. The tour also gives some LGBT history and some of the bars.
Tthe City of West Hollywood’s iconic Halloween Carnaval is back this year. Halloween in West Hollywood is anticipated to draw thousands of costumed revelers to the City’s Rainbow District along Santa Monica Boulevard on October 31, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. In addition, there will be Halloween celebrations at West Hollywood’s one-of-a-kind bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, entertainment venues, and more on Halloween and during the preceding weekend.
The City of West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval is free to attend and open to the public. It will be a one-mile stretch of Historic Route 66 along Santa Monica Boulevard between N. Doheny Drive and N. La Cienega Boulevard. The event will feature a stage at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and N. San Vicente Boulevard with a live DJ set, food trucks, and thousands of wildly dressed people in Halloween costumes for a one-of-a-kind experience.
