The RealReal Downsizes its Two Large Department Stores Into One in WeHo

The RealReal department store in West Hollywood has consolidated its men’s and women’s department retail spaces into one location on the corner of Melrose Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard at 8500 Melrose Avenue. The newly redeveloped location reopened late last month. The retail space across the atrium where the The RealReal Women’s store once stood is currently empty and up for lease.

A retail clerk at the newly open West Hollywood location tells WEHO TIMES that the men’s section has been downsized significantly. What was once a large department store for men, is now a smaller men’s section in the reimagined space. According to the source, men’s items do not sell as well as women’s.

I’m not surprised. They had too much space and rents on Melrose are sky high. The new space is more than enough for them.
