The Real Friends of WeHo reality series is coming to MTV. The show follows the lives of six LGBTQ+ celebrities, personalities, and entrepreneurs living in West Hollywood (even though most of us rarely see them in WeHo), feature Brad Goreski, a celebrity stylist; Todrick Hall, a choreographer and singer; Curtis Hamilton, an actor; Dorión Renaud, CEO of Buttah Skincare; Jaymes Vaughan, a TV host and business owner; and Joey Zauzig, a digital entrepreneur.
The series will give viewers an “unfiltered and honest look” at the group’s lives and passions in the West Hollywood community. The Real Friends of WeHo will premier on Friday, January 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT following RuPaul’s Drag Race.
If the premise sounds familiar to you, that’s because you’re thinking about The Men of West Hollywood, a reality TV drama series that premiered on Crackle around the same time last year. Similar to Real Friends of Weho, cameras followed a group of friends in West Hollywood. The Men offered Mr. California, a plastic surgery “icon,” a celebrity photographer, a top underwear model, a YouTube star and a luxury property owner — six of the biggest male socialites in the city (allegedly). These Men, along with their boyfriends and girlfriends, gave a glimpse into their lavish WeHo lifestyles and it was pretty forgettable.
Here’s more about the cast for The Real Friends of Weho:
Brad Goreski is a highly sought-after stylist in Hollywood, known for working with actresses and high-end clients. He is married to television comedy writer and Instagram sensation Gary Janetti and is looking to take on new challenges in his life.
Todrick Hall is a multi-talented performer who has worked with Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and RuPaul, among others. He has toured internationally, appeared on television, starred in Broadway musicals, and gained millions of followers on multiple platforms, including 900 million views on YouTube.
Curtis Hamilton is a well-respected film and television actor known for his roles in Surviving Compton, Charming The Hearts of Men, The Kings of Napa, and Insecure. He recently came out to his family and close friends and is navigating his place in Hollywood as a leading man and in the LA LGBTQ+ community.
Dorión Renaud is the CEO of Buttah, a top Black-owned skincare company. At just 34 years old, he is looking to take the company to new heights with a nationwide launch in department stores and a major advertising campaign.
Jaymes Vaughan is an entertainment news host who recently left his TV career to start OUTbound, a global LGBTQ+ travel company with his husband, actor Jonathan Bennett. He is considering a return to hosting while also managing OUTbound.
Joey Zauzig is a successful social media influencer and entrepreneur known for his positive personality and common sense advice. He was named the internet’s best friend by Good Morning America in 2022 and continues to use his digital platforms for humor, advice, and confidence building.
Fabulous… Fuck all you losers, This is gonna be great.
Late to the already saturated market. No thanks.
Complete trash. All fake and not representative of West Hollywood. This is embarrassing and Brad Goreski should be ashamed.
These shows are brain cell killers. Do something good for the gay community. Don’t bother with these types of “reality” shows which are nothing but trash.
It looks awful. I didn’t watch The Real Men of West Hollywood and I’m staying far away from The Real Friends of WeHo. These guys didn’t get the memo. Nothing good comes from a trashy show that uses the Real Housewives format.
