Sunset Strip Presents Late Night Drive-In benefiting Handle With Care Los Angeles

Sunset Strip Presents Late Night Drive-In with a double feature of Clueless and Mean Girls. The screenings will benefit Handle With Care Los Angeles, a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting the homeless community throughout Los Angeles, with a focus on West Hollywood and Hollywood.

“We provide care packages filled with food, personal care items, ppe and resource guides to people who are experiencing homelessness while making a personal connection with each person we meet,” Vice President, Tyler Gutowsky told WEHO TIMES. “Every dollar that is donated to HWC goes directly back to the homeless community throughout Los Angeles. Fundraisers such as this one are vital for the organizations sustainability and growth in being able to assist those who are in need.”

The double feature is taking place at the The Andaz Hotel located at 8401 Sunset Blvd on Friday, April 30, 2021. Showtimes begin at 7:30 p.m. (admission is at 6:30 p.m.). General admission is $50.00. Price for admission includes car and all occupants.

    Screening information is as follows:

    Clueless – PG-13 1995 ‧ Comedy/Romance ‧ 1h 40m
Shallow, rich and socially successful Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is at the top of her Beverly Hills high school’s pecking scale. Seeing herself as a matchmaker, Cher first coaxes two teachers into dating each other. Emboldened by her success, she decides to give hopelessly klutzy new student Tai (Brittany Murphy) a makeover. When Tai becomes more popular than she is, Cher realizes that her disapproving ex-stepbrother (Paul Rudd) was right about how misguided she was — and falls for him.

    Mean Girls – PG-13 2004 ‧ Comedy/Teen ‧ 1h 37m
Teenage Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) was educated in Africa by her scientist parents. When her family moves to the suburbs of Illinois, Cady finally gets to experience public school and gets a quick primer on the cruel, tacit laws of popularity that divide her fellow students into tightly knit cliques. She unwittingly finds herself in the good graces of an elite group of cool students dubbed “the Plastics,” but Cady soon realizes how her shallow group of new friends earned this nickname.
