St Felix WeHo, the restaurant and bar located at at 8945 Santa Monica Blvd., is celebrating its 10 year Anniversary on Thursday, May 23. West Hollywood Mayor Pro-Tempore Lindsey Horvath, will be present for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate a decade of service.
As an expression of gratitude to the community for keeping their doors open these past ten years, St Felix will be doing a “Recession Roll-Back Pricing” – $6 on all of their famous premium signature cocktails all day/all night at both the Hollywood & West Hollywood locations. These libations will be the same price as when the eatery launched their Happy Hour 10 years ago.
“As struggling artists, when we arrived in LA, my business partner Christian and I both know how hard the City of Angels can be,” Owner John Arakaki stated. “We decided to do Happy Hour from 4pm to 8pm. At first people thought it was an unusual concept. Happy Hours are from 3-6PM. Hardly anyone in this town is on time because of traffic. Let’s keep it cool so that after a stressful day people can find a spot to park, decompress & enjoy good food and drinks with friends. After a few months, our Happy Hour became a celebrated institution and still thrives today at both locations.
When St Felix opened on the corner of Robertson & Santa Monica Blvd., they came with a vision to bring an east-coast style and feel, coupled with Midwestern customer service and value in a highly stylized LA setting. It strove to be a bridge between the cool musicians hitting the legendary Troubadour and Whisky a Go-Go bars, proudly catering to the established LGBTQIA community in the area.
Along the way, they stopped caring about labels and focused on maintaining an environment that was cool and all inclusive. The young struggling artist is welcome and feels comfortable next to the established after-work business crowd. Their concept focuses on quality and value and is based on a strong and creative food & cocktail program that is fun, different and accessible to all.
Out of the humble beginnings and as a result of their success in WeHo, the St Felix Hollywood was launched, located at 1602, Cahuenga Blvd. This location has become a hub for celebrities, business mixers and gatherings ranging in size from intimate to large scale, including launch parties, wrap parties, and holiday events for entertainment companies and emerging tech companies including Netflix, Viacom, Paramount, Sony, Buzzfeed, CNN, Google and Capitol Records, just to name a few.
As the restaurant celebrates a decade of business in Los Angeles, St Felix refuses to be complacent. It continues to thrive and elevate the experience, and it vows to always be home to the fun and creative.
