Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s “Something About Her” Sandwich shop is now open in the City of West Hollywood at 649 N Robertson Boulevard. But the wait is not over just yet. Fans stood in line for hours to get a taste of the highly anticipated sandwiches and for a chance to meet the two stars of the reality TV show Vanderpump Rules.

“We are so grateful for the turnout today and all the support,” Madix told WEHO TIMES. “Someone took a video earlier of all the people waiting in line and it’s been like that all day. We didn’t think it would draw so many people. It’s been amazing.”

“It took is a while to open, but it is so worth it,” added Maloney. “And with this being Memorial Day weekend, it will probably be like this for the next coming days. Then we have WeHo Pride coming as well. We are so grateful for the turnout and for all the support.”

When asked if they deliberately opened in time for WeHo Pride, both entrepreneurs shook their heads. “We didn’t plan it that way, but it worked out perfectly,” said Madix. “It’s kismet.”

There were two lines formed in front of the new WeHo sandwich shop. There were those that waited to get inside to eat a sandwich and there were those who waited in line to get a picture with Madix and Maloney, who met their fans and took photos for hours.

An employee revealed that they are fully stocked but or close to running out some items as they reached closing time at 4 p.m. The sandwiches range in price from $14 to $18 and are named after leading ladies of romantic comedies like Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Resse Witherspoon.

“Something About Her” had a soft opening last week reserved for family and friends to taste test some of the menu items. The signage and the awning were reinstalled, and a folding bench was built into the front facade shortly before the soft opening to allowe people to sit and wait their turn inside. According to a source, the sandwich shop will only have indoor dining at the moment as well as takeout. They hope to be able to provide outdoor seating at some point in the courtyard located next to the shop.

The Vanderpump Rules stars have been trying to open their gourmet sandwich shop West Hollywood since they first filed for the LLC in July 2021. They moved into the location in late May of 2023 and announced their arrival with a new sign, a new awning, and a fresh coat of paint of the exterior, suggesting the sandwich shop was ready for its reality TV close-up that summer—however, the exterior of the store was ripped out in late July to make room for something different and unexpected. they also didn’t anticipate the setbacks due to permits and inspections from the City of West Hollywood and the Los Angeles Department of health.

Maddix And Malone launched a Something About Her online store back in March, which featured an array of sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, and phone cases, all of which retailed for under $50. They monetize the restaurant while it sat empty. The website is undergoing improvements as of the posting of this piece.

“Something About Her” is open Wednesday – Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sorry, Jerome. There’s no all you can eat option at Something About Her. You wont be able to bankrupt them like you did Red Lobster.
