A video posted on the Circus of Books WeHo’s official Instagram account shows a person trying to walk off with a giant black 30″ dildo from the adult bookstore located at 8861 Santa Monica Blvd in the LGBT Rainbow District. “DILDO SHOPLIFTER CAUGHT ON CAMERA!” Reads the post on Sunday, January 29, 2022. “Drunken hot mess klepto tries to steal our biggest dildo. But it was way too thick and heavy for the getaway…”
The thirty-second clip shows a person unable to walk straight when they stumbled upon the giant black sex toy. They casually wrapped their arms around it like they were lifting a baby and then stumble outside of the store lugging the giant silicone log.

However, employee Marcus Blackwell says they were “ready like Freddy” in one of the comments. An employee is seen chasing after the “hot mess klepto” before the person was able to make a getaway.
Then the video cuts to the employee carrying the silicone monstrosity back to its rightful place on display next to another giant black dildo. The failed thief appears to be very inebriated. The post does not disclose if the West Hollywood sheriff’s were called to the scene to file a report on the attempted robbery.
The item looks like it could be a decorative store display, but according to the Circus of Books website, it is for sale. The toy is called the FAAK Fantasy Massive Black C*ck 30″. Priced at $ 699.95, the FAAK Fantasy actually measures 30.7″ and 6.88″ wide at the base and 11″ wide at at the…ummm sack area.
The Book Circus opened in 1960 and with the very cruisy Vaseline Alley behind the store quickly became the epicenter of the gay community at that time. In 1980 and through the AIDS crises it became the original Circus of Books, WeHo’s version of Stonewall. In 2020 it has been reimagined and reopened with the addition of Circus of Books West. Both Stores also feature The Gallery @ Circus, an upscale gallery representing LGBTQ artists.

There’s no way that’s only 7″ around. 7″ wide maybe…
Good grief. Sad to say, but only in West Hollywood.
They should rent it out by the day….hour? As a party centerpiece of course.
