Santa Palm Car Wash, located at 8787 Santa Monica Blvd., in the heart of WeHo’s Boystowns, is having a soft opening this weekend as the Los Angeles county allows a short list of business to re-open. To thank their loyal customers, the car wash is offering their Exterior Express Wash for free this weekend. The free washes began yesterday Friday May 8, and will continue today and tomorrow, Sunday 10. They are also extending their complimentary express wash to nurses, doctors, and front line workers until June 1st. All they need to do is show their credentials.
“We at Santa Palm Car Wash have spent these last few weeks closely monitoring the news about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on our guests, team members, and communities,” read a statement sent via email to customers, “We will be reopening our Exterior Express Wash on this Friday, May 8. To also say THANK YOU for your patience, loyalty, and efforts you made to help lower the curve we will be offering a FREE Express Wash to all customers from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10. We hope everyone comes in to take advantage and help clean your vehicles to make a safer Los Angeles.”
“It’s great,” said WEHO TIMES contributor Mike Pingel. “You just drive up and stay in your car. They don’t clean the inside of your car, but it’s a free car wash. They accept tips at the end. You just stay in your car and you leave when you’re done. There are like seven people working on your car, so leave a generous tip.”
The following extra safety precautions are being implemented during the wash to limit social interaction while also providing employees with an opportunity to work safely.
- Express Exterior only lanes will be open for customers to drive through theri kiosks. No interior cleaning services will be available at this time.
- Team members will be wearing additional protective gear, including gloves, face shields, and or safety glasses.
- They willl wipe down and sanitize tablets after each credit card transaction. They accept cash payments but credit cards are preferred.
- Vacuum stalls will remain closed temporarily due to this being a high touch and trafficked area.
Santa Palm Car Was have modified their hours during their soft opening from 8am – 4pm.
