Sample Saturday & Health Fair Returns to Capitol Drugs March 23


The chance to get free stuff returns to Santa Monica Boulevard with the upcoming Sample Saturday & Health Fair on Saturday, March 23, from 12pm to 4pm, in front of Capitol Drugs / Power Zone. The West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Capitol Drugs / Power Zone, are once again partnering with Cedars Sinai and the City of West Hollywood to welcome the community to sample products, learn about services, get free goodies, and take advantage of items at a discounted rate, as well as get expert advice from health, fitness and nutrition specialist.

Attendees will learn about preventive care, holistic medicine and new innovations in sports medicine, self-care and aesthetics. Over a hundred health and fitness vendors, local businesses and community organizations will have booths throughout the sidewalk. Participating companies and organizations will offer information about their businesses. Services include Health Screenings by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, information on preventative care, HIV and AIDS, PrEP, treatment programs for drug and alcohol abuse, skin care and more. This year participants will include Paws LA, APAIT, Being Alive, APLA, The Gay and Lesbian Center, Get Preped, City Of West Hollywood, Valley Community Health, Alliance for Housing, Planned Parenthood, Pacific Oaks Medical Group, Socal Mens Group, JWCH, local business like My 12 Step Store will be on hand representing WeHo’s sober community.

PowerZone and Optimum Nutrition will be offering free shakes. There will be blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings, as well information on health programs and cancer awareness education. Cedars Sinai will also have a transgender surgery team to answer questions.

The event is free to the public. There is a $4 special parking rate in the Capitol Drugs Parking Lot.
