RuPaul’s DragCon 2022 is BACK! The drag queen convention is serving charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent this weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center located at 1201 S Figueroa Street. A third day has been added this year to make up for some lost time set to take place on Friday, May 13, Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Guests of all ages are invited to meet international drag superstars from and inspired by the show RuPaul’s Drag Race (most drag conventions tend to be 21 and older). The new Friday entry begins at 10 a.m. for the first time in herstory, making DragCon three full days of more drag, more queens, more glitter, and more hours, which adds up to more photos and more fun.

RuPaul launched the first RuPaul’s DragCon via World of Wonder in Los Angeles in 2015. What started as a two-day event has expanded to three days and has spread across the nation to New York City and across The Pond to the United Kingdom.

Dragcon 2022 will feature hundreds of booths with venders offering swag, a chance to meet and greet a favorite queen and plenty of photo booths for some mandatory selfies. There will be brands like Trixie Cosmetics, the makeup line from drag superstar Trixie Mattel, along with non-profit organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise introduced a lot of drag queens these past two years. The event will feature fan favorites from Season 12, 13, All Stars 6, and many international stars who dared to compete for a crown and a chance to win $100K.

Attendees will have a chance to be front and center for an entire weekend of non-stop drag performances. The main stage will be packed with DJ sets by RuPaul on Friday and Saturday, and performances all weekend long, by over 60 queens from Queen of the Universe and Drag Race around the world.

The event will also offer a long list of panels where queens will discuss various topics and reminisce on what it was like to be on the show.

DragCon will implement and follow CDC, State, and Local guidelines for Covid-19 saftey in effect at the time. Attendees are required to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID test.
