PHOTOS – West Hollywood Recreation Services Division Hosts Howl-O-Ween Pet Showcase

The City of West Hollywood’s Recreation Services Division hosted its first-ever Howl-O-Ween Pet Showcase this past Saturday, October 7, on the Great Lawn at West Hollywood Park. Mayor Sepi Shyne brought first Pet Mayor of West Hollywood Chloe, and Mayor Pro Tem John Erickson showed up with his pet dog Winnie. Council members Lauren Meister and Chelsea Byers were at the event as well. Council member Meister has two dogs, Suki and Sammy, who stayed at home because they are shy around large crowds.

Howl-O-Ween highlights included a parade for pets and their guardians to walk side-by-side and showcase their spookiest, silliest, and funniest costumes, and perhaps even to dress up with their pets. Entertainment included music, a pet-friendly bubble zone, pet trick/obstacle course, community groups, and lots of treats.

Costumes included a pet dressed as bee, a superhero, killer doll Chucky, a horse for Woody of Toy Story, a princess, a lion, and so much more.

Then some attendees didn’t need a costume or a mask at all.
