Cher’s Cherlato Ice Cream Truck was back in the city of West Hollywood’s LGBT Rainbow District as the summer months comes to an end. This time the gelato truck, inspired by the one only singing sensation Cher, partnered with Micky’s WeHo at 8857 Santa Monica Boulevard, to be part of the restaurant and bar’s Ice Cream Sundays event, produced by Stefano Rosso, for Labor Day Weekend, on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

It was an afternoon of go-go boys (and the those who love them), gelato, and Cher on the Santa Monica Boulevard strip this past weekend as people celebrated a long three-days off. Fans who follow the truck around the greater Los Angeles area lined up to get some gelato ice cream and some swag at the mobile dessert store.

In addition to the CHERlato truck, there was also an OUT HERE Health resource table offering information on sexual health. As part of APLA Health & Wellness Center, OUT Here offers fast, convenient, and free or low-cost sexual health services by and for the LGBTQ+ community in the heart of L.A. County. Out Here is young, it’s queer, and it’s bold and direct about sex in an effort to empower individuals about sexual health.

The truck moves to the City of Santa Monica today for what they are calling a Labor Day Luxe 🎉🇺🇸 where they’ll be “celebrating the spirit of hard work and end-of-summer joy right where you love us most, at Santa Monica Pier!”
Details on the location are:
📆 Monday, 04 September
⏰ 12:00pm-7:00pm
📍 By Santa Monica Pier, 1541 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90401
People came to WeHo from all corners of LA County to line up and spend upwards of $20 for a Cher-inspired ice cream cone (the golden cone started at $18.00 plus toppings, then there was the merch, which started at $30.00 for a Cherlato apron or a cap and $35 for a t-shirt).
In mid-July, Cher announced in her official Instagram account that she was launching her own line of gelato. “Yep, this is real… I’m launching my gelato,” she informed her fans. “Watch out LA,”
The Cherlato ice cream truck is traveling around Los Angeles County to different locations every day throughout the summer months so everyone can get a taste of the frozen treats. The Cherlato can only be purchased from the official Cherlato Ice Cream in Los Angeles.
Cher and her partner Giapo Grazioli collaborated to come up with flavors that include the “Snap Out of It! Kefir and Cardamom,” Breakfast at Cher’s Coffee & Donuts” (that gets topped with an actual glazed donut) and “Chocolate XO Cher”.
The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer also concocted a flavor called “SoCal’s Coldest Avocado on Toast,” which features avocados and crunchy breadcrumbs. Then there is the vegan creation called “LA, I Love You” with a nod to the Lakers.
