    Photo Drop – Hamburger Mary’s WeHo Hosts BROS Gay Romcom Pop-Up

    West Hollywood residents and community members were treated to a sneak peek of Universal Pictures upcoming Gay Romcom BROS, starring Billy Eichner, the first openly gay man to co-write and star in his own major studio film—and featuring an entirely LGBTQ+ principal cast, including Luke Macfarlane (Killjoys), Ts Madison (The Ts Madison Experience), Monica Raymund (Chicago Fire), Guillermo Díaz (Scandal), Guy Branum (The Other Two), Amanda Bearse (Married …with Children) and ooriginal Queer Eye Alumni, Jai Rodriguez.

    The setup in the Hamburger Mary’s parking lot was a mobile 44-seat movie theater which showed the films trailer and three exclusive never-before-seen scenes from the upcoming film on an 18-foot screen. The event ran from 6pm to midnight. Guest were given swag that included hats, tank-tops, mints and lip balm.

    Actor, Jai Rodriguez was on hand for the fun event tonight. Rodriguez plays Danny, Bobby’s (Billy Eichner) love interests Aaron (Luke Macfarlane) straight brother in the film. “Having been in the first all-out gay cast in network history and now the first all LGBTQ+ film is incredibly humbling.” said Rodriguez, “I’ve gotten to see firsthand the evolution of Queer representation in media. How far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.”

    Bros is directed by Nicholas Stoller from his screenplay with Eichner. The film is produced by Judd Apatow, Stoller and Josh Church (co-producer Trainwreck, Step Brothers) and is executive produced by Eichner and Karl Frankenfield.

    The BROS movie mobile is a 44-seat theater that embarked on a nationwide tour, presenting exclusive footage from the gay romcom on an 18-foot screen at various locations across the country. The tour tour began on August 11 and will end tomorrow, September 9. Stops included Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Provincetown, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego and Los Angeles.

    BROS movie opens only in theaters on September 30, 2022.
