PHOTO DROP: Dyke March 2022 Keeps Tradition Going for WeHo Pride

Dyke March 2022 kept the tradition going and officially launched the City of West Hollywood’s WeHo Pride weekend events produced by JJLA. The march was led by Dykes on Bikes burning rubber down Santa Monica Boulevard, followed lesbian, queer women and their allies. The March began at Robertson Boulevard and moved east on Santa Monica Boulevard from Robertson to La Cienega Boulevard and looped back to Robertson. The actual march began at roughly 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022.

The Dyke on Bikes and marchers were escorted by the West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies. Santa Monica was blocked to moving traffic.

Mayor Lauren Meister and council member John D’Amici joined the march closer to La Cienega. They were joined by council member John Erickson, and Mayor Pro-Tem Sepi Shyne stepped in during the Women’s Freedom Festival. The ride and march dispersed on Robertson Boulevard at the Pride on Robertson Stage.

The Women’s Freedom Festival was free. It included a Ferris wheel and plenty of booths.
