The City of West Hollywood reminds the community and the region about WeHo Pride-related parking information during WeHo Pride Weekend, which will take place from Friday, May 31, 2024, to Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Permit parking requirements will be lifted for WeHo Pride Weekend from Friday, May 31, 2024, at 4 p.m. through Monday, June 3, 2024, at 7 a.m. Parking meters will be enforced throughout the weekend. Attendees of WeHo Pride Weekend festivities are encouraged to observe the boundaries of the City of West Hollywood when parking; if parking occurs in the City of Los Angeles and/or the City of Beverly Hills, all parking restrictions for those cities must be observed.

Drivers can anticipate increased traffic and commute times during WeHo Pride Weekend. Plan ahead and use alternate routes based on street and facilities closures. Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed during the weekend in both directions of traffic. There will be additional closures for the WeHo Pride Parade on Sunday, June 2, 2024, and there will be limited access to cross Santa Monica Boulevard for those seeking to drive around the City or access parking locations.

Limited paid public parking near WeHo Pride festivities in and around West Hollywood Park may be available on a first-come-first-served basis at the Pacific Design Center, located at 8687 Melrose Avenue; Kings Road Parking Structure, located at 8383 Santa Monica Boulevard; and Hancock Parking Structure, located at 901 Hancock Avenue. During the WeHo Pride Parade on Sunday, June 2, 2024, there will be a special event rate of $20 for the following parking garages/lots: Kings Road, Orange Grove, Queens, and Sunset. Standard parking rates will be in effect for all other locations and times. Parking facility locations are available on the City’s website.

The City of West Hollywood will activate its free Pride Ride service during WeHo Pride Weekend. The City’s free transit services, The PickUp and Cityline, will offer combined Pride Ride services that will operate over the weekend. Pride Ride vehicles (both PickUp and Cityline vehicles marked with route/destination) will travel through West Hollywood from N. La Brea Avenue to N. Kings Road along Santa Monica Boulevard. Select Pride Ride vehicles (marked with route/destination) will also run to the Hollywood & Highland Metro Station. For schedule details, visit the Transportation section of the WeHo Pride website, here: www.wehopride.com/gettinghere. WeHo Pride-goers may also take one of several Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) bus lines that connect to West Hollywood. A guide to bus lines and service hours is available at www.metro.net.

WeHo Pride Weekend (May 31 through June 2) will include a free WeHo Pride Street Fair representing a diverse array of LGBTQ community groups as part of visibility, expression, and celebration; free entertainment on two stages and multiple informational and vendor booths during the WeHo Pride Street Fair, the Women’s Freedom Festival; the annual Dyke March; free Friday Night at OUTLOUD; the ticketed OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride and Summertramp stage; and the annual WeHo Pride Parade. A wide range of community group programming takes place throughout Pride month through June 30, and the WeHo Pride Arts Festival takes place June 14 through 16, 2024.

That the city lifts permit parking restrictions during Pride just demonstrations how little the residents mean to the city. White the heck are WE supposed to park? Really.
