Out and About with Mike Pingel: REVOLVER

    by Mike Pingel

On Wednesday, February 22nd, Revolver Video Bar in association with F/X Networks and Chris Isaacson Presents, hosted an advance screening of Ryan Murphy’s new series FEUD, starring Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon

FEUD, based on the rivalry between two of Hollywood icons, Joan Crawford (Lange) & Betty Davis (Sarandon), will premiere on the F/X Network on March 5. The series takes place during the filming of: “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane.” the only film in which the screen legends ever starred in together.

Drag Icon, Jackie Beat and Broadway and TV star, Jai Rodriguez co-hosted the event could not wait to see the show. Jackie told me: “I cannot wait to watch FEUD, I’m obsessed with “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane” and I adore the tragic side of show business, bitches in way too much make-up and that dead rat on a dinner plate!” Jai went on to say, “I’m super happy to be hosting this, my first acting job in Los Angeles was on “Nip/Tuck” for Ryan Murphy, so it’s a full circle movement for me.”

It was a real treat for the West Hollywood audience, Ryan Murphy (think Nip/Tuck, Glee, American Horror Story and The Normal Heart) usually keeps his shows under wraps until airtime. He allowed F/X Network to host three screenings in LA. Last night’s at Revolver wrapped up the sneak peeks until the March 5th airdate.

Chris Isaacson, Bob the Drag Queen, Ramy Gorkowski, Jackie Beat, Jai Rodriguez and Matthew Herrmann

“One thing we love about the LGBTQ community is that when they are passionate about something, they are really passionate about, and they love to share it,” said Ramy Gorkowski, Director, Integrated Promotions at FX Networks.

The crowd at Revolver ate it up, clapping and howling with excitement from scene to scene. Jai Rodriguez wrapped up the evening saying: “You don’t get better than Susan Sarandon & Jessica Lange playing arch enemies, it’s a gay men’s wet dream.”
