Original Barry’s Fitness Studio is Moving to New Location in WeHo this Weekend

Barry’s Fitness studio, also known as Barry’s Bootcamp, is finally moving to its new home at 8380 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood this weekend. This Friday marks the last day of operations at its original location at 1106 N La Cienega Boulevard, which first opened in WeHo in 1998.

Barry’s celebrated 25 years in West Hollywood in 2023. The new location promises to offer the same amenities in a much larger space. The popular Red Studio will now feature 57 spaces, compared to the original Red Room on La Cienega Boulevard, which had 49 spaces.

Furthermore, the new Barry’s will be the first to offer RIDE x LIFT classes on the West Coast. Until now, RIDE x LIFT was only available at their Chelsea studio in New York City. Barry’s RIDE x LIFT is a 50-minute class that combines high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on an indoor cycling bike with traditional strength training on the floor. If you’ve been to Barry’s before, just imagine replacing the treadmill with a bike.

The La Cienega location will operate during regular hours on Friday, and they expect to maintain regular hours on Saturday at the new location. Contact or visit their website to confirm scheduled classes.

The West Hollywood Planning Commission approved the relocation of Barry’s in WeHo to the former Aaron Brothers framing and art supplies space in 2021. Colorful signage on the storefront last year announced, “The Next Era of WeHo – New Studio – Same Zip Code,”

Since Barry’s opened its doors, the Red Room has been home to wellness enthusiasts, athletes, and some of the most well-known names in Hollywood, including Kim Kardashian, J.Lo, David & Victoria Beckham, Harry Styles, Sandra Bullock, Lady Gaga, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel, Hugh Jackman, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lawrence, and more.

In addition to the new studios opening in Studio City, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and Newport Beach, the company plans to open new studios in other key markets domestically and internationally, with the goal of doubling its studio footprint over the next 3-5 years.

Great to see them open this flagship location. While I miss the frame store, Barry’s will bring a ton of energy and people to this block.

Will be nice to see that block activated since the picture frame store closed years ago.
