    Newly Paved Tennis Courts Unveiled at Plummer Park

    The tennis courts at Plummer Park are freshly paved and newly painted showing off something different from the usual blue and green. The City of West Hollywood unveiled their newly polished purple and apple green tennis courts this week.

    “Love seeing new paving for our tennis courts at Plummer Park,” council member John Erickson posted on his social media platforms. “And yes, Courts 5 & 6 and the paddle court will [be] lined for pickle ball!”

    The City of West Hollywood launched its partnership with new tennis concessionaire, Tennacity LLC at the beginning of this year, per an approved agreement by the city council in December 2020. Tennacity offers unique live events, facility management, tournaments, lessons, camps, and open house community events for players of all levels.

    Tennacity is an inclusive and vibrant tennis lifestyle brand that has offered similar programs for the City of Manhattan Beach and has been featured at DesertSmash with Serena Williams, Malibu Racquet Club, and at numerous Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), and Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) professional events such as the BNP Paribas in Indian Wells.

    On-site sales and services will be offered by at the pro shop located at Plummer Park and will include tennis equipment and string repair, accessories, apparel, and food and beverage.

    Tennis courts are a feature of two public parks in the City of West Hollywood: Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard, has seven lighted tennis courts and a small pro-shop where tennis-related services are offered to the community; and West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard, has three lighted tennis courts situated on the rooftop of its five-story public parking structure.

    Court reservation prices are $8 per hour (or $4 per half-hour) for Plummer Park and will continue to be made utilizing the Kourts app under the name “Tennacity at West Hollywood” at www.kourts.com/app. West Hollywood residents may reserve up to seven days in advance; non-residents may reserve up to five days in advance.

    Tennis instructional programming strictly complies with regularly revised COVID-19 Health Officer Orders and Protocols from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

    Tennacity was founded by Joshua Osswald, former Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranked player, United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) player of the Year, 20-year tennis coach, national champion, musician, and entrepreneur.
