The city of West Hollywood welcomes a new business on the City’s Route 66. The new Sweets Talk boba shop, located at 7901 Santa Monica Blvd, at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Fairfax Ave, had a soft opening last week in West Hollywood’s midcity area. The new business specializing in boba drinks and dessert items, has opened at the former Starbucks space, which shuttered on Friday, February 6 of last year after being open at that location for decades.
Aside from boba drinks, Sweets Talks will also serve handcrafted organic coffees, a wide selection of loose leaf teas and various dessert menu items, such as fusion cheesecake. Items can be made to ordered via a kiosk. The current soft opening hours are from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on a weekly basis, according to their website.

A manager at the West Hollywood location told WEHO TIMES that Sweet Talks will have a grand opening as soon as they add some finishing touches. They are currently testing the menu and doing run tests on their operation. They are also waiting for chairs and tables to arrive, so they can offer an in-door seating experience. Aside from indoor seating, they will also offer a side patio area in the small shopping center.

Sweets Talks is also located next door to the equally newly open, Delitaly Potato Chips Deli. The new sandwich shop recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
The new boba shop’s website is currently bare bones, but they do offer a menu to give people an idea of the items to they plan to serve the community.
So, there you have it, residents and community members can enjoy boba drinks near the Fairfax District. A Grand opening date has not yet been determined as they wait for chairs and tables to complete their look. The missing tables and chairs have been delayed their grand opening.
