Mark Wahlberg Opens Municipal Clothing Store in West Hollywood

Mark Wahlberg opened his Municipal Clothing store in West Hollywood at 8609 Melrose Avenue, marking this as the first physical pro shop for the brand. The 1,100-square-foot venue is located near Huntley Drive in the heart of West Hollywood’s Design District.

A sales clerk tells WEHO TIMES that Municipal opened to the general public on Friday, June 28. There was a private party celebrating their grand opening on Tuesday, where Wahlberg and co-founder and CEO Harry Arnett attended with a group of close friends. Also in attendance was Wahlberg’s pastor, who flew in from Boston to bless the new space.

This is the brand’s first permanent brick-and-mortar store after hosting a pop-up at New York City’s Hudson Yards. According to the employee, there was also a pop-up in Boston, where Wahlberg grew up.

The employee also revealed that a Municipal headquarters will open in San Diego. The second location is expected to open in August and will be the flagship for the brand. The space will be a 6,000-square-foot showroom that will include a coffee shop, a barber shop, and a community lounge for locals to hang out.

Over the next two to three years, the plan is to roll out about 10 more stores in key markets. Locations on the horizon include Las Vegas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Boston, and New York.

Founded in 2019, Municipal faced initial setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed operations by July 2020. The brand offers high-quality, affordable athletic wear, with prices ranging from $30 to $180. The product line includes T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, underwear, and outerwear.

So soon we forget . . . A racist, untalented piece of shit who committed violent hate crimes against multiple Vietnamese men and only decided to “apologize” for it three decades later in an attempt to get his felony record expunged so he could acquire a liquor license.

He’s a lot of things – including everything you mentioned – and I’m sure his shop will go the way of Wahlburger’s in no time.
