Mail Thieves Strike West Hollywood Apartment

Authorities are searching for two burglars who struck the mailroom of a West Hollywood apartment building on Kings Road over the weekend.

CBS News reports that the incident occurred just after midnight on Sunday at the Kings Road Towers apartment complex, located in the 1200 block of Kings Road. Surveillance footage shows one suspect hopping a fence to gain entry before letting the second suspect in through the gate. The pair then proceeded to the mailroom, where they stole bags, mail, and packages.

Jake Mason, president of the homeowners’ association at the complex, reported that one of the men broke into the mailroom about an hour before returning with his accomplice. “I think they used some tools to pry it open,” Mason said.

Residents of the complex are frustrated, noting that this is not the first time their mailroom has been targeted. In the past year, the mailroom has been hit at least three times.

This will continue to happen unless people that break the law pay a price.
