A man accused of sexual assaulting a woman in Los Angeles after he picked her up in West Hollywood has been arrested, according to the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD). The driver has been identified as Fernando Macias Morales, a 34-year-old Los Angeles resident. Morales was arrested on Friday April 5, 2024 in San Fernando Valley.

According to SMPD officials, on Sept. 7, 2023, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Pennsylvania Ave following a report of a sexual assault. Upon reaching her destination, she realized that several hours had elapsed since the commencement of her journey.

Such an awful thing to happen in West Hollywood which should be a safe space for everyone, especially Women and LGBTQ+. This driver should banned for life from ever working as a driver and, even his driver’s license should be suspended for life. That will show him when he gets out of jail, never able to work in a position of trust again, only able to work jobs open to convicted felons and, he’ll be a registered sex offender who will have serious problems (some quite violent) in jail/prison that will follow him on the outside when released.
