The Los Angeles Dodgers removed the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from their pre-game LGBTQ+ Pride Night celebration at Dodger Stadium following a backlash from Catholic leaders and republican politicians like Marco Rubio who publicly condemned the team’s plan to bestow the Sister with a Community Hero Award, which has been rescinded.

Their removal resulted in huge backlash by LGBT organizations like the Los Angeles LGBT Center and LA Pride.

Eventually the LA Dodgers apologized and re-invited to join the at Dodgers Stadium and asked them to accept the Community Hero Award.

Sister Babs the Homewrecker later told WeHo Times that this has been the best year ever, but out of all the wonderful things that have happened as a result of the controversy, getting a key to the City of West Hollywood has been the best thing so far.
