Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd Face Wrongful Termination Lawsuits

Animal rights activist and reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd are facing a wrongful termination lawsuit from former bartenders at the TomTom Restaurant & Bar, located at 8932 Santa Monica Blvd West Hollywood. Vanderpump and her husband co-own the establishment with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz.

As per documents obtained by The Blast on Thursday, the employees, who worked for the couple from May to December 2022, allege that they were terminated in retaliation for complaints about unfavorable working conditions.

The former bartenders cited “unsafe work conditions” at TomTom, including sewage and backup in the employee break/locker room. The lawsuit details rampant violations of California labor laws, harassment, and unsafe working conditions during their employment.

One former employee asserts that Vanderpump, 63, and Todd, 78, who also own SUR restaurant and dearly departed Pump Lounge in West Hollywood, blacklisted him by defaming him to prospective employers. The individual claims that the couple published false statements and comments to various third parties regarding his profession, reputation, and character, with the ex-employee contending that the rumors were made with actual malice.

TomTom is prominently featured on Vanderpump’s Bravo reality show “Vanderpump Rules.” Co-owners Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, who are also stars of the reality TV show, were not named in the lawsuit.

The legal filing surfaces just weeks before the Season 11 premiere of “Vanderpump Rules,” the first since Tom Sandoval’s cheating scandal, known as “Scandoval,” gained attention. The aftermath of Sandoval’s secret affair with castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss and its impact on now-ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix will be explored in the upcoming season, airing on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Vanderpump Rules stars Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney are opening a new sandwich shop in West Hollywood called Something About Her, at 640 N Robertson Blvd. The new restaurant is moving into the former home of Flower Burger, which closed in the summer of 2022. The new sandwich shop is expected to open this year.
