Kanye West Files Complaint Against Paparazzi at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station

TMZ and Page Six report that Kanye West has filed a complaint against paparazzi at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station after he was followed was allegedly challenged to get in a fight earlier this week. A photo obtained by TMZ shows Kanye walking on San Vicente Boulevard in the heart of West Hollywood’s LGBT Rainbow District.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station has confirmed that Kanye was contacted by photographers as he left Sunset Boulevard on Tuesday at around 5 or 6 p.m.. The paparazzi allegedly got into a verbal argument with West and challenged him to a fight. Members of his entourage allegedly asked the WeHo Sheriff’s station for help.

Page Six confirms that a criminal report was created and there is an active investigation into the incident. It appears no arrests have been made.

According to reports this is the second scuffle in less than a month that Kanye has gotten into with paparazzi. This past January, West snatched a woman’s phone who was recording him from her car and it appears like he threw her phone out onto the street.

“You didn’t have to run up on me like that,” the “Flashing Lights” rapper could be heard telling the woman in the clip. “If I say stop, stop with your cameras!”

As a result of the incident, West was named as a suspect in a battery investigation, but has not has not yet faced criminal charges for the alleged battery incident.

Page Six also reports that on the same day, a paparazzo argued with West that they had a right to take photos of him at his kids’ basketball game because they were on a public street.

“You want me to be running up on your kids’ games like that?” he yelled at the photographer who replied, “there’s a hundred of us.”

There was another incident in August 2022, where West was involved in a separate incident, in which he allegedly punched a man who asked him for an autograph. He also did not face criminal charges for that incident.

Now, now , now, I feel sorry for this one time celebrity BUT, his complaints are without merit because the paparazzi completely ignoring him in light of better things for them to do, does NOT rise to the level of a crime worthy of attention from the Great City of West Hollywood’s sheriff’s department.
