It’s Pride month in the month of June. There are also celebrations for Father’s Day and graduating seniors as we kickoff the summer. Here’s a roundup of events for June in the City of Angels.
The Melt WeHo Offers Limited Edition “Harvey Milk Shake”
The Melt, a renowned all-American comfort food restaurant with 11 locations throughout The Golden State, is spreading the love throughout June with the return of its legendary extra special treat – the Harvey Milk Shake – a limited-edition vanilla shake topped with vibrant rainbow sprinkles. For each milkshake sold, $1 will be donated to Equality California, a longtime LGBT+ partner of the restaurant brand.
Shake Shack WeHo Introduces Sprinkled with Pride Campaign
Throughout the month of June, Shake Shack is offering its guests the opportunity to add sprinkles to ANY shake or custard for 50 cents in support of PFLAG National! PFLAG is the nation’s first and largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. PFLAG, who is celebrating its 50th anniversary, provides peer to peer support through in-person and virtual community meetings, online outreach, and a variety of educational resources and programs. In addition to the NEW Shake Shack Non-Dairy Shake, the Shake Shack Oreo Funnel Cake Shake and Triple Brownie Shake will join the menu for a limited time!
Sprinkles Offers Pride Themed Cupcakes and Cakes
From June 5 to 25th, guests who visit Sprinkles bakery can purchase a Pride Sprinkle cupcake at $6 each in honor of Pride month. There is also a Rainbow Layer Cake at the Beverly Hills, Westlake Village and Manhattan Beach locations, priced at $72 and requiring a one-day lead time for ordering.
The Little Anchor Food Truck Launches in Venice
The Anchor seafood restaurant is taking it’s menu on the road with The Little Anchor, a new food truck from Kristin Ciccolella featuring fresh lobster rolls and other delicious items. Locations are updated on their social media platforms.
Chef Collaboration Dinner at Donna Jean
On Wednesday, June 21, plant-based Sherman Oaks restaurant Donna Jean will host a dinner featuring Miyoko Schinner featuring vegan dishes. The five-course dinner of plant based dishes are available on Resy for $175.
Kismet Rotisserie Now Open at Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City
Kismet Rotisserie, serving up rotisserie chicken dishes, is now open at Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City.

Hollywood Bowl Offers Summer Market Tasting Series
The Hollywood Bowl will offer their Market Tasting Series for the 2023 summer season at the Hollywood Bowl. Complimentary wine tastings begin June 18 in the Plaza Marketplace in the Box Office Area. The series will continue on Wednesdays and Sundays, three hours before each concert, through September 24.
Gin Rummy Island Inspired Cocktail Bar Open s in Marina Del Rey
Gin Rummy Bar, an island inspired cocktail bar, is now open in Marina Del Rey. Beverage Directors Marcus Ragas and Danilo Kim have created an inventive and playful craft cocktail bar program and menu including frozen stirred and tiki rummies, classic highballs and cocktails for four.
