The wait will soon be over. We found a web page not yet linked to the John Reed landing page announcing that the John Reed West Hollywood Club is opening soon at 8612 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA, 90069.
JOHN REED WeHo is described as “a massive gym with nightclub vibes, live DJs, and a whole lot of attitude. Offering a wide range of traditional fitness like free weights, functional and machine strength training, cardio, and stretching alongside unlimited classes inside a club with immersive sound and lighting. Never boring and far from basic, JOHN REED WeHo is a gym you actually want to work out and hangout at.”
A date has not yet been officially set, but potential members can sign up for updates by clicking the link below:

This past January, the scaffolding came down from the construction site at 8612 Santa Monica Blvd, the former home of 24-Hour Fitness Sport, and future home of the up and coming John Reed Fitness West Hollywood.
We were given a small glimpse of the remodeling and renovations of the new structure on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Westbourne drive. It seems they are determined to bring the space to the 21st Century with something new and different. The reveal gave us a dark futuristic building with some details that resemble snake or fish scales covering major parts of the building. The walls have subtle dark colors giving it a sleek look from certain angles.

The West Hollywood 24-Hour Fitness gym officially left the building in the City of West Hollywood on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at exactly 9:00 p.m. Many Wehoans woke up to a different West Hollywood the morning morning after with a feeling of loss as they face the day without their workout routine at their local and affordable WeHo gym. There has also the loss of foot traffic for local businesses.
The new John Reed is bound to fill the void. That is, for those who can afford it.
Good luck joining this gym $100, $130, or $150, dollars a month what world are this people coming from charging the kind of monthly fees, I worked pretty much for every gym out their since the late 80’s & let me tell u, that the high monthly maintenance gym fees was a serious issues for the gym members, & still is, specially with people struggling to pay their rent as it is. Good luck & let’s time be the judge to see what happens
any more updates on the opening date? I see that linked page is no longer working…
Its not opening
Source? They’ve spent hundreds of thousands on that buildout and other tenants nearby said they had a June opening date (probably pushed back)
So worth the wait.
