John Reed Fitness has announced that their Santa Monica location is coming very soon. According to their verified Instagram account, @johnreedfitness_us, the SaMo location is opening in June. The new location is linked to the official John Reed fitness homepage. They also reveal in the same post that the West Hollywood location isn’t opening until winter of 2023/24, following rumors that the West Hollywood gym was coming this summer.

WEHO TIMES found a web page that was never linked to the John Reed landing page announcing that the John Reed West Hollywood Club was opening soon at 8612 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA, 90069. The page offered a link for updates, but that page has since been removed.
According to neighbors, construction abruptly stopped several weeks ago at John Reed WeHo. Recent photos show an abandoned building that still needs more work. Also, a crack through the door leading to the back pool area shows that construction of a new pool hasn’t even begun.

This past January, the scaffolding came down from the construction site of the former home of 24-Hour Fitness Sport. We were given a small glimpse of the remodeling and renovations of the new structure on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Westbourne drive. It seems they are determined to bring the space to the 21st Century with something new and different. The reveal gave us a dark futuristic building with some details that resemble snake or fish scales covering major parts of the building. The walls have subtle dark colors giving it a sleek look from certain angles.

The mostly beloved West Hollywood 24-Hour Fitness gym officially left the building in the City of West Hollywood on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at exactly 9:00 p.m. Many Wehoans are still feeling the loss.
The new John Reed Fitness in WeHo is bound to fill the void.
looking forward to checking this out. WeHo could use some new big gym energy. The 24 hour was so outdated and unkept. Crunch has had a strangle hold on the Weho market and their unwillingness to even fix their AC will have many members migrating to John Reed… so please don’t disappoint the city JR.
