Jean-Georges Beverly Hills Offers the Ultimate Al Fresco Tasting Dinner at Waldorf Astoria Hotel Resort

Jean-Georges Beverly Hills has reopened their doors to terrace al fresco dining at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel Resort. Their new fall focused menu includes an elevated tasting dinner Thursday – Saturdays in two seatings.

Diners can choose to indulge in the decadent dishes at 5:30 or 8pm. The eight course-tasting menu includes a variety of dishes, all perfectly executed.

White linen covered tables against banquette seating were scattered apart throughout the patio.

Our dinner began with perfect dirty vodka martinis and sparkling water. Our amuse bouche was a beautiful trio of butternut squash including roasted chestnuts, a foamy butternut squash soup and a gel squash cube with beet dust.

Next came one of our favorite dishes, a toasted brioche sandwich of organic egg yolk topped with Petrossian ossetra caviar and dill. This dish was creative, beautiful to look at and delicious.

Yellowfin tuna noodles followed, plated in the shape of a rose with avocado, radish and a ginger dressing poured table-side. King crab risotto with cauliflower, lime, black pepper and dill was equally tasty and comforting. Our fish dish was a beautifully crusted and roasted black cod with lemon braised celeriac and curry poured tableside over the fish. Our last main dish was a standout ribeye caramelized cap with a beet and wine reduction and potato dauphins.

Dessert included a warm chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and a selection of petit fours from the mignardises cart.

In our current environment it’s hard to find a place that is reminiscent of what elegant restaurant dining was six months ago. Jean-Georges Beverly Hills at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills transported us back to a relaxed, intimate, safe and exceptionally executed dishes from Chef Steve Benjamin.

It’s all perfect for any special occasion or an intimate night out; $185 per person, with an optional $140 wine pairing.

Jean-Georges Beverly Hills is located at 9850 Wilshire Boulevard. Reservations can be made by calling 310.860.6700, or by visiting their website at: https://www.waldorfastoriabeverlyhills.com/dining/jean-georges/
