Irv’s Burgers is Serving ‘Well-Made Cheeseburger’ Inspired by ‘The Menu’ on HBO Max

West Hollywood’s historical stand Irv’s Burgers is collaborating with Searchlight Pictures to offer a special well-made burger based on The Menu, the show on HBO Max that revolves around a juicy burger at a pretentious tasting menu restaurant situated on a lonely island and overseen by a temperamental chef played by Ralph Fiennes.

Variety reports that Irv’s Burger will be serving “Just a Well-Made Cheeseburger for You” through the month of January. The Well-Made Cheese burger features Irv’s sesame bun, two 3 oz. beef patties, American cheese, pickles, onions and special sauce, with a side of crinkle cut fries. “The Menu” burger and fries is $9.95 and is available at Irv’s, 7998 Santa Monica Blvd., and on Postmates and UberEats. The patties are crafted from a blend of fresh chuck and brisket, ground fresh and seasoned. Never frozen, they’re always “pressed to order,” according to the stand that opened in 1946.

Irv’s Burger WeHo Officially opened in July, 2022. The West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce gave the historic burger stand the ribbon-cutting treatment to welcome Irv’s back to the City of West Hollywood at 7998 Santa Monica Boulevard. West Hollywood Mayor Lauren Meister joined WeHo Chamber members and owners Lawrence Longo and Sonia Hong for the grand opening.

The beloved burger joint first opened in 1946 and moved to West Hollywood in 1950 at Santa Monica Boulevard and Sweetzer Avenue, close the West Hollywood City Hall (The Conservatory West Hollywood took over the space and used it as a coffee stand up until it closed at the beginning of this year). Irv’s moved to the 7998 Santa Monica Boulevard location in 2018 (next to the now shuttered Fubar).

The new Irv’s Burgers sent a nod to the original location with a burger stand that resembles the stand on Santa Monica and Sweetzer Avenue. It is keeping its menu simple, offering burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches with a side of fries, milkshakes, and/or cookies and now offers a turkey burger as well as an impossible burger.

The Menu is an American dark comedy horror film directed by Mark Mylod, written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, based on an original story created by Tracy, and produced by Adam McKay, Betsy Koch and Will Ferrell. It features an ensemble cast that includes Ralph Fiennes as a celebrity chef with Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Reed Birney, Judith Light, and John Leguizamo playing diners who attend his exclusive restaurant.
