    Hotel Ziggy Celebrates Grand Opening on The Sunset Strip

    Hotel Ziggy, located at 8462 Sunset Blvd, celebrated its grand opening on The Sunset Strip, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The rockstar style party included Malin Akerman, Haley Reinhart, Audrina Patridge, Matt Sorum, James Kennedy, Rudy Mancuso and more. There was also a red ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by West Hollywood Mayor Lauren Meister, members of the WeHo Chamber of Commerce, and hotel ownership and executive team.

    Giant 12 foot LED Palm trees and a 5 foot tall guitar mounted ice sculpture greeted guests on Sunset Blvd as they arrived for an over the top bash. A tribute to the rebellious spirit of the West Hollywood music scene, Hotel Ziggy welcomed hundreds of guests that made their way through the newly transformed property, with four floors of entertainment, bars and food found around every corner, including access to enjoy the newly redesigned rockstar style suites and poolside cabana rooms.

    The grand opening party included a surprise rock performance by Billboard chart-topping artist Haley Reinhart and a guest appearance by Pink Floyd’s legendary sax player Scott Page. They sang hits by Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, Radiohead, Stevie Nicks and many more famed 60s and 70s, 80s and 90s rock musicians.

    Late night performers included an eclectic all-star band featuring Nine Inch Nails‘ drummer Alex Carapetis (Also played for Voidz and Wolfmother), bassist Kristian Attard (who collaborated with Heart, Zedd, Boy George, Jason Mraz), singers Josh Landau and Diimond Kilani, Guitarist Nick Maybury (Scott Weiland, Perry Farrell). The tribute covered all things rock-n-roll with songs from The Doors to David Bowie, to Guns N’ Roses.

    DJ Pookie finished out the night deejaying rock tunes until 2am for the late night party crowd, as the hotel’s new B Side pizza window served street side slices, harkening back to mid-century carhops with its old school pick up window design.

    The event included Naked Ziggy Stardust themed neon painted body dancers and nude body painted rock themed “groupies”. Dancers clad in nude sparkly bodysuits performed in giant clear 8 foot iridescent balls by West Hollywood’s largest saltwater hotel pool. In between eating and drinking and dancing, partygoers were treated to custom Hotel Ziggy inspired airbrush tattoos, tarot card readings and a room filled with vintage 80’s themed games like connect four, Uno and Jenga, adjacent to their custom pool table lounge.
