    Government offices are Hosting Special Passport Acceptance Fairs

    Seeking a valid U.S. passport for that 2023 trip has been challenging for many who want to get away for the summer but can’t because their passport has expired. Would-be travelers are facing backups for U.S passport applications that’s ridden with government bureaucracy as worldwide travel rebounds back toward record pre-pandemic levels and not enough personnel to handle the workload to get your passport processed in a timely manner.

    WEHO TIMES reader T. Jones has asked us to share the following travel hack tip to getting your passport faster for those who need to renew their traveling credentials.

    Passport acceptance facilities such as post offices, libraries, and local government offices are hosting special passport acceptance fairs across the United States to help travelers and their family apply for their passport. Most events are for first-time customers and children using Form DS-11 to apply. If you are eligible to renew your passport, you should renew by mail.

    Processing times

    Passport acceptance facilities only offer routine and expedited service. If you need a passport for urgent travel, make an appointment at one of the passport agencies or centers.

    The closest location to West Hollywood is the Los Angeles Main Post Office, located in Los Angeles CA on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 9am-1pm.

    The agency issues passports to United States Citizens.
